B i o g r a p h y

Christopher L. Reed, pianist, is pursuing his Master’s degree in piano accompanying and chamber music at The Eastman School of Music as a student of Dr. Jean Barr, where he also serves as a coach for the opera department. Previously he received his Bachelors Degree in Piano Performance at Oklahoma State University as a student of Dr. Thomas Lanners. During his time at Oklahoma State, Christopher performed extensively throughout the University, performing in nearly every ensemble as well as collaborating extensively with students to present recitals at both the University and throughout the United States. As a part of the Oklahoma State University Wind Ensemble he has also performed throughout England as well as Japan.

​During the Fall 2012 season Christopher performed several recitals in the Los Angeles region with baritone John Seesholtz and tenor Gerald Seminatore as part of the Spacious Vision Song Project, as well as a recital with John Seesholtz at Colorado State University.

​

This past summer Christopher took part in the Baldwin-Wallace Art Song Festival where he coached with renowned pianists Warren Jones and Roger Vignoles. Christopher has previously collaborated with Baritone John Seesholtz to present a Lecture Recital at the University of North Texas concerning works collected as part of the Aids Quilt Songbook. He has also worked as a vocal coach with the Wichita Grand Opera.
